55000-391 Apollo Alarmsense (2 Wire) Integrating Optical Smoke Sensor

The integrating optical smoke detector uses an internal pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle.
In the event of smoke entering the chamber, the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and registered by the photo-diode.
The detector will then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED will light up.
The unit is different from the normal optical detector as it has the ability to monitor and discard
transient sources of smoke (such as cigarette smoke) in order to reduce unwanted alarms. This facilitry would be
useful where smoke is present as a result of normal activity such as houses of multiple occupation.

AlarmSense sensors must be mounted on AlarmSense bases (45681-244)
