Appropriate Fire Extinguishers Foam, ABC Dry Powder, Monnex Dry Powder and CO2 Gas Extinguishers (Which carry Yellow, Blue or Black labels) Not L2 or M28 Powder Class C Fires Fires involving flammable gases e.g. (Butane and Propane gas) Appropriate Fire Extinguishers ABC Dry Powder, and Monnex Dry Powder Extinguishers (Which carry Blue labels) Not L2 or M28 Powder Class D Fires Fires involving flammable metals e.g. (Sodium, Lithium, Magnesium and Alluminium when in the form of swarf or powder) Appropriate Fire Extinguishers L2 Powder and M28 Powder Extinguishers (Which carry Blue labels) Not ABC or Monnex Dry Powder - M28 does not cover Lithium Electrical Fires Fires involving electrical equipment e.g.(Photocopiers, Fax Machines and Computors etc) Appropriate Fire Extinguishers ABC Powder, Monnex Dry Powder and CO2 Gas Extinguishers. (Which carry Blue or Black labels) Not L2 or M28 Powder Class F Fires Fires involving cooking oil and fat e.g.(Olive Oil, Maize Oil, Sunflower Oil, Lard and Butter) Appropriate Fire Extinguishers Chemical Extinguishers (Which carry Yellow labels) |
