• Beam detectors are typically used to replace individual point
detectors in large open areas such as warehouses, advantages
include:
- Single device to install instead of numerous point detectors
- Provides single point of maintenance.
- Wall mounted for ease of maintenance, especially in
warehouses with racking
• Beam detector is supplied with a single reflector
• Beam detector is powered directly from the zone or loop,
no additional power supply is required
• Simple two wire connection
• Fire and fault conditions are signalled to panel using standard
zone or loop wiring no additional interconnection required
• Only one beam detector may be connected per zone
• Reflective beam detector is specifically designed to operate
with Menvier and JSB panels, use with other types of panels is
not recommended
• Sensitivity setting can be altered by DIP switches on rear of
beam detector
• Special version available to work with external power supply if
multiple beam detector to be connected to a single zone
• IP40 protection

Analogue versions can be connected to suitable Menvier or JSB analogue panels
