55000-217 Apollo Series 65 Standard Ionisation Smoke Detector

Apollo Series 65 smoke & heat detector range are a direct replacement for the earlier Series 60 devices.
Series 65 detectors have a wide voltage range (9-33 volt DC)
and can be integrated on to security systems when used with the 12 volt relay base (45681-508)

Ionisation Smoke Detector
Air in the dual sensing chambers is irradiated to produce ions that travel to the positive and negative electrodes,
creating a current flow. As smoke enters the outer chamber, the flow drops and the voltage increases.
The detector will then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED lights up.


An intergrating ionisation detector, suitable for use in areas where transient high levels of smoke may be expected, is also available.
